Harts is the nom de plume of Indian-born, Australian-based musician, singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music producer Darren Hart, whose singular blend of pop, funk, jazz, blues, psychedelic rock, and indie electronic music has cemented him as one of the most promising, young international talents to emerge in recent years.
His most recent album, titled “Smoke Fire Hope Desire”, earned Harts much praise and accolades, including being awarded “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” at the GQ Australia Men of the Year Awards, an invitation to collaborate on a song with The Roots & Lenny Kravitz for the official 2016 Olympic Games, and a feature as Triple J’s Album of the Week.
The success continued in 2017, with Harts heading to the US to pursue career opportunities. The musician reached all new audiences with his song ‘Power’ featuring in the DC Comics NBC sitcom Powerless, a video premiere for ‘Peculiar’ with Conan O’Brien, and high energy shows across the States.
Harts shows no signs of slowing down in 2018. Already he has landed huge gigs, including playing with Joey Bada$$ on Triple J’s Like A Version, rocking the MCG with Peking Duk for the NRL State of Origin, performing two huge sets at Bluesfest, playing a sold-out show at Howler in Melbourne with an expanded live band, and announcing a national tour to kick off this November.
On the new music front, Harts has recently released singles ‘Ain’t Nothin’ On Me’, ‘21&19’, and most recently, ‘Wishfulness’, all of which were met with critical acclaim and all of which will feature on his upcoming album, due out later this year.
