Hildur Guðnadóttir Wins At Golden Globes

Hildur Guðnadóttir has won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for her haunting soundtrack to Joker. Nominated alongside Randy Newman, Alexandre Desplat, Thomas Newman and Daniel Pemberton, Guðnadóttir's win makes her the first-ever solo female winner in this category. In her acceptance speech, Guðnadóttir thanked Joker director Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix for their support; "Thank you, Todd, for inviting me on the journey of a lifetime, for all the trust and your faith and openness. Thank you, Joaquin, for making my job really easy with a spectacular, unbelievable performance."
